I'm ready to install the new '92 radiator in '87 4.0L Cherokee but the top plumbing connection for the transmission cooling lines are different. The bottom line fitting is ok. I read Bob Mock's article on the conversion to use original fittings from old radiator. My question is: Can I remove old fittings from '87 rad without damaging because it has a lock type nut over fitting that looks like it might be welded or it's just difficult to remove? Can I remove the fitting from the '92 rad or is it welded in? Or just take a pipe wrench to remove? This is the only step that is stopping the project.
