There is the mod that uses the cruise control as the winch control on the +97 models.

The Jeep Special Equipment Ramsey hidden winch kit was dealer installed.
NOS kit that I have shows to mount controller plug in bumper.

I have seen Jeeples get creative and use toggle switches in oem locations for in / out control
