Does anyone know a place to get a deal on a 40 foot shipping container? Or know the going rates? Personal experience when building your personal bunker?

My info is several years old. I bought mine in April, 2009. If I remember correctly, I paid $2800 delivered for mine. However, I did a LOT of research looking at prices. Of course, I had the issue of getting it delivered to a remote location, which added cost.

There was a place in Long Beach that had sea-worthy 40' containers for $1100. The price was great, but they could never figure out what it would cost to deliver it.

There are various grades. The best ones are still considered sea worthy, which is what I got. That means no holes, the door seals are still in good condition, etc.

Container lives in SoCal. Holds Gomer when I'm not there. Bunker in New York may not be a bad idea, though.

I still have your address, haven't lost it. I held off on shipping until chance of USPS leaving it in a frozen truck someplace would damage the bottles. But, thanks for the reminder; it's safe to send now. Will try and get it out next week.

Depends on the day. One day it's 78, the next it's 29. Stooopid weather.
