WTB mild lift stuff

Hey all,

I need to lift about 1.5-2" over stock.
I bought some 245/75/16s and stock (sagged) height is just not going to cut it.
I am putting a rooftop tent up top so I don't want to go up more than 2" over stock.

OME rear springs would be cool but I don't know if anyone has anything like that. The only ones I have ever seen were on Jim's rig.

Watcha got?

Jeep is a 99 XJ.

I know, I know. But I want to do it on the cheap. Thinking of zj v8 coils with an extra isolator up front and an extra stock leaf out back. That way I will at least have a bit stiffer ride.
Later I will do it right but i need to get my new tires on this weekend.

Anyone have a set of stock packs laying around?

Scott...... If you wanna rob a long leaf outta the stock set I have here I'm game. I'm putting them under a junker going to the scrap yard and just need the main leaves and a couple others to support an axle under it......

I have spacers for the front and extended shackles for the rear if you want to take a look at what I got when you pickup wheels.

Scott came by and grabbed my WJ coils -- they certainly look like they'll give him a little lift, but they also lack the taper at the top of the coil that XJs have... I'm thinking that a WJ isolater might be enough to take up the space, but I'm not sure the coil tower bucket surface is big enough to hold it... May need a "spacer" or something like a giant thick washer :dunno:

I'm staying away from that route only because I want to stiffen the ride a bit.
I may take you up on the shackles though for a future project.

See you soon.

Scott

Done for now. I ended up getting a cheapo budget boost kit from 4WP.

82 bucks out the door for an add a leaf and some spacers. Went on in less than 2 hours. I will post some pics tomorrow.

Saving up for the real lift but not until I wear out these tires.
