hey all i have a 1996 jeep cherokee classic 4.0 l auto with 196,000 miles. the jeep started fine this morning but this afternon when it got hot outside it wouldnt start, it would crank and crank and finally i gave it some gas and it started but i had to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running but once i shut it off again the same thing happens i have had a new alternator, starter, ignition switch, fuel pump not too long ago, could this be a clogged fuel filter???

Possible coolant temp sensor is pegged at 40 below zero. So computer might flooding the engine when its warm out. Only way to find out is to have it scanned. PS not the sensor for your gauge either
