Wonder Turd (XJ wagoneer)

Whew....... $7K....... I wish you the best of luck brutha.

I couldn't get that asking price for my very-built '97, but I'd love to see you prove me wrong.
There are a lot of heavier built TJ's that cant sell for a few thousand more right now. The market sucks to sell in. So just be understanding of that or be willing to haggle a LOT

looks like is cut wrong by the factory

thats what i saw too, but shouldn't the truss be fully welded? even if you have to stitch weld, shouldn't it be welded full length? is "stitch weld" even the correct term? weld a few inches skip ahead 6, weld a few inches skip ahead, then go back when the first welds are cool? or is this completely and utterly wrong? :wow:

I am not jumping it, so how it is will/would be plenty strong. Even if someone wants to jump it and whatever it's still strong enough to take anything... Well almost anything.

why isn't the truss welded to the center section? You can see daylight between the truss and pumpkin

My truss is not welded to the center section...it's a Clayton's 4-link truss ...I have though about either welding the center to the housing or making a plate to connect to the super thick ballistic cover...But it's been jumped and never flinched...but then again it is a 14 bolt it's tied to ...lol

Is that to much? Or what? Could yall tell me about what it should be?

Wagoneers are a hard sell. Not nearly as many folks dig 'em like the more common Cherokee. Simple truth.

Parting it out may net you more than selling it whole. Given the current market and the number of available built XJ's on craigs..... yours is a $2200 - $2800 rig. Honest truth.

At $4,000, it's likely the high miles, modifications, and your ad doesn't help it much ..... you basically say the parts are good and barely used, but you also indicate that you don't like it and want it gone - makes folks wrinkle up their nose and ask themselves "If he doesn't like it, why would I? What's wrong with it? Would I be having to deal with lots of issues?"

It's only appealing to folks outside of an emissions area since the exhaust isn't gonna meet requirements and inspection..... does it have a cat converter?

Ya dig?

Ok, that's exactly what I need. It does have a cat, but I think the emissions would be a bit of a issue but maybe not, I don't know . Motor/driveline is in great shape.. I ll re-word the add. Thank you for the info!

just throwing it out there, but do you think you might get a better response if this thread was in the Colorado for sale forum? :dunno:

I have thought about it. I should make a different one in that area. I will do it when I get on a computer.

By the way, if anyone is in need of glass I would recommend service auto glass. They're cheap, fast and the tech that did my windshield was super cool.
