Winterfest 2009

The board breaking ceremony is not nearly as bad as it appears. The key is to take on the challenge while you still have enough common sense to pick the correct board. And remember...always pick your own board.

Big "broke a few myself" Hank

p.s. Board breaking is way better then riding naked across the parking lot on Beezil's spinning spare tire. <--so glad I didn't do this when offered the oppertunity.

pretty sure i don't want to know!

For the most part Winterfest follows one main rule of Attica, IN........WHAT HAPPENS IN ATTICA, STAYS IN ATTICA. Simple as that. Sometime you may hear a story or think you know what happend, but I guarentee you never get the entire story.

I've been in Attica when certain things have happend and the next day I still wasn't allowed to know what happend.

That you remember, I'll see if I can dig up some pics.:gag: JIM.

I'm jealous of you guy's. Please post some pics of the wheeing. Having a wedding coming up in Sept. The woman losing her job and just buying a house puts all fun more then an hour away out of the question. Looks like I should sell one of my Jeeps to get the money together to even get to a meet and greet in the area. Have fun boys and girls. Hopefully see some of you at McCaslin Mountain soon.

Really looking forward to this, just got into wheeling in the past 4 or 5 months or so. I live in Lafayette so it's an easy 30-40 minutes to the Badlands. I definitely have a lot of respect for you guys traveling all over creation to go wheeling. Eventually I will have enough confidence in my rig to make it out of the state :)

Now I've got a drop-dead date to get all of my pending projects and todos finished on the XJ. Set bank accounts to full depletion!

Have you got it running yet? JIM.

Yes! Thanks for asking. Got the "new" exhaust manifold on and everything back together, and ended up using the 91+ injectors I got from you since my Renix ones were leaking at the seams. Took it out to the Badlands for a few hours this past weekend and everything held up well. I have a lot more I would like to fix in the next few months, but I might just leave it alone and take it easy until Winterfest... I'd hate to screw something up and miss it.

Great, Hope to see you there. JIM.

I feel as if i need 2 things before i come to winterfest.
1. A lift.
2. money/spare parts

Next year ill probly be up at Purdue, making this drive alot easier.

You don't need a lift for WF.

You do need a little bit of cash. Spare parts are nice but it can be done without. I would not miss it becasuse I didn't have spares.

Every year we have near stock Heeps that run the Green trail.
If you listen to your trail leader, you can get through without damage and live to tell about it. The trail leaders are familiar with the Badlands. We also take a test run on Friday and discuss by-passes for the more difficult spots along the trails. Just be sure you have the minimum requirements (cb, tow points etc) and be sure your XJ is running well and you should be fine.
