If nobody has been I strongly suggest rounding up a crew to go. This was by far the best set of dunes I've ever explored. 40 square miles of dunes, a wal-mart 9 miles away and cell coverage...hard to top that. We decided to go here to escape the Pismo crowd for thanksgiving and escape the crowd we did. Over the +-20 square miles that we got to explorer I only spotted 4 quads.
All tracks laid were fresh

My new 18" resi's and nationals had me sailing over everything comfortably

I'll be putting on a bolt on tire carrier coming off the shock hoop support towers so I can still sleep underneath the hoop. Sleeping in my cab was the key to survival or at least a good nights rest on trips like this.
Very impressed with the new bump stop set up, if I hit em, I couldn't feel a thing.

It got to 10 degrees at night, everything froze...including the keg tap and nipples

Sorry I couldn't get any good pics of me jeep in the air, my dumb ass brought the only camera and it died after the second pic.
