funvtec NAXJA Forum User Location oak creek, WI Mar 10, 2005 #2 i don't personally have a winch but i do work with cranes it might be a good idea to let your winch out and just coat the cable with a bit og thick grease to prevent any corosion JUST A THIN COAT
