People refer to their vehicles as females?
"She's got a 4.0L"
"I'm going to swap an 8.8 in her this summer".
Always a female.

How come?

Why not: "He's got a 4.0L" or "I'm going to swap an 8.8 in him this summer"?

if you refer to her as a him. that just sounds gay. we all like to take care of our vehicles so why would you take pride and care of "HIM" unless its your son or your bed wetting father.

My Jeep is not a person. I refer to IT as an IT.

Same here. It just seems like I've seen a lot of the individuals refering to their Jeeps as females. I figured what better place to hash this out than right here in OT.

my jeep's name is Buckshot...

because sometimes i get so pissed, i just want to take a shotgun and unload on him...

To me, jeeps have a personality. if yours acts like a bitch, feel free to refer to your jeep as "her"...

i always thought if it's an auto its a SHE if its got a stick, its a HE.

i named my rig Frankie, after a girl i knew that used to beat up guys in my high school... cause my girl is one tough B***h :D

Would you rather get in a dude or get in a chick?

You guys are starved for affection if you start getting sexual with your Jeep :) that or insecure with your manhood...

personally, I trust a dude more than a chick...I'm afraid a chick would leave me stranded :D

Had an Audi Quattro named Shela (ya, I know that ausi not german), cause that bitch would kick you ass if you didn't drive her right, and she liked to be driven hard.
MY XJ (DD) is called Jake cause it just fit and its kinda like a friend/pet, plus it started with a J so it fit.
The MJ project will remain as it though.

never really thought about it much, but the wife does call hers by mens names, and it is a stick shift... hmmm may have to have a talk with her.

I am more of an IT person myself. IT needs a new this, IT is hard on gas, IT is up and working again.

My first Jeep was "Jeepiter" - named after the male Greek god Jupiter/Zeus.

The next three Jeeps were never named.
They are all ITs.

.

Thik about it.......about once a month they get cranky and demand you spend money on them. Sounds female to me.

Not to mention they seem bleed out some fluids every month or so & changing that gasket or seal seems to only last so long, before another one appears.

There ya have it..

There is an old saying "If it has tits or wheels it is going to cause problems".

Im pretty sure it's proper english to call things as if it were a female. Anything that doesn't have a sex is refered as a she. So she could be anything...

Because I put my parts in chicks, not dudes.
I put parts in Jeeps, not dudes.
