Trying to finish up the booster swap in my MJ and I can't for the life of me get a good double flare on the one brake line I needed to custom fit. I've called about ten places in the area and no one seems to offer this service.

Anyone know of a place near long beach/north OC/south bay???

if you have the tools I can show you how to do it right but I'm all the way at my place in redondo. the reason nobody will do it is for insurance reasons. you could try mr hose in wilmington just make sure you tell them its for a hydraulic line not automotive or they won't touch it.

you're kind of screwed then lol. you need the right die no way around it. if you can get the right stuff i'll be at my moms place working on the van tomorrow. maybe you can grab one of the rental ones and the die won't be too hammered?

You can also try Baker Precision they are in signal hill area, right by long Beach. I have had other brake hoses made there, not sure if they do lines.

i know oriellys has them here in my town. wish i was closer to you i have a couple sets myself. simple to do just make sure you debur the tubing quite well before flaring.

From my experience, an absolutely square, clean, smooth end of the tube is required to get the flare right. But, as others said, you have to have the right die. No way around that.

I rented the tool from Autozone. One of the two lines going from the master to the perportioning valve had the correct ends so I re-used it however the other line I had to make. I used one of the ends fom the 2nd old line and put it on one side of a new line I bought from Autozone that already had the correct other end on it.
