I'm in the market for a CB radio, but I'd prefer to get something in a local store rather than over the internet. Im near Fort Collins, any recommendations for a shop with good service and prices? What would be a good model CB to look for? I'd basically use it primarily for wheeling/emergency needs.

If you just plan on using it for wheelin go to walmart and pick up the cobra 19 for 34.95 and then find a truck stop and get you a "lil wil" antenna made by wilson for 30.00. My buddy runs this setup on his XJ and it sounds just as good as my $300 cobra 150gtl...............Or you could come down to Camalot cb in commerce city where I go and pick up what ever you want then, Just an idea............

If you're not in a hurry, then keep an eye on Craigslist.

I just snagged a brand new Cobra 18 WX ST II for $60.

When I saw the ad, I thought it looked familiar..... Brought it home and then had to run an errand in the truck, and there was another Cobra 18 WX ST II. :twak: I have enjoyed this CB for a couple years now in the truck so I'm glad I found another one.

Walmart does have good prices on CB's. Radio Shack has several antennas usually in stock to fit your needs.

yeah, the little Cobra 19 isn't a bad radio. Just get a plenty good antennae. It'll be plenty for on the trail and should have just enough range to get the Forest Service if need be.

WooHoo, go Johnson's Corner.
