Whats everyone's opinion on detroit up front on a HPdana 44. I have one in the rear (spooled up front) and it works great, but wondering since it disconnects automatically when turning It will lack when driving/turning on rocks/etc in the front....

it only disconnects when letting go of the gas so when you push on the gas turning a corner you still have it locked.

Over the last 20 some years, any idea how many people have run Detroits in the front?

I have a HP44 with a Detroit....wouldn't have anything else. It should prove to be totally maintenance free and industructable for a very, very long time.
