2530 is the last 4 of 88xj's #. Still the same one that has been posted on the forums about kamaran a couple years ago.

Funny how desertjr replies to almost every for sale post here and wants to buy, then backs out cause he got a similar one somewhere else... I wouldn't trust that guy with my garbage!
 
It's easy to make up a fake number that works, google has something like that, that is free, you make up a number and it forwards to your real number. A buddy of mine uses it so he doesn't have to give chicks his real number, and he can change the fake one whenever... Just a heads up for those of you that don't know about that yet!

Wanna explain dynamic IP address's to these guys too, while your at it?
 
It's not truly random. Basically consider an IP address to be something like a license plate... many residential ISPs basically have a giant stack of dealer plates they hand out to whichever customer needs one at the moment. As such, they change every few hours, every few days, or every few months at random depending on how the ISP's network is configured.

There are a number of, ahem, similarities between desertjr and kameran... dude, go the hell to jail where you belong and knock it the f**k off, OK?

Anyone who has been screwed over buy this dipshit NEEDS to go to the AG/police to report it, they will not take kindly to him playing the same games while awaiting trial.

They don't alway change, if your equipment is lit they can hold stead for months, I don't think mine has changed in about a year.

Patterns will be apparent though, the ISP doesn't have a random batch of "plates," they have a (or several) defined sequential blocks of them.

yep... case closed.

Verizon DSL I know for a fact will give you any random IP they have on the pile, I moved between /8s on a regular basis (every few days) when I was with them. On the other hand FiOS only moved me once in like 6 months, and Charter hasn't moved me yet in two years of service.

edit: hawkeye, bhicks, and everyone else who found info that led to this... good work :thumbup:

Unfortunately posting that publically would help him avoid detection the next time, but what you guys found most definitely helped.
 
Last i heard, all charges were dropped. Soon after he was finally banned from xjsocal so i don't know any updates. Sure sounds like him though from the childish smiley and sad faces. A real man isnt going to bump threads saying "Anyone :("
 
I dunno that DesertSJ is Casual but i will say this. When i was selling my tent trailer i spoke to him on the phone and seemed like a normal guy. Then again, he backed out of buying the trailer cause he said it be a pain in hiss butt to get it titled since i didnt haave a title for it. Funny thing, the guy i ended up selling it to had no issues getting a title.

I dont think i still have his number on my cell...
 
I passed on some good info to the ih8mud moderators with the ability to now see his games on other forums for comparison. It's in their hands now but I'm confident they will take the appropriate action.

I'm pretty sure he isn't - he's been here a long time and hasn't screwed anyone to my knowledge (at least there hasn't been any visible controversy about it, nor pitchforks and angry mobs), and I got the impression he's heavily involved in the jeepspeed scene. Anyone know more? I'm on the other side of the country so clearly I can't actually meet people and tell for sure.
