What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Ed is a total pen iswrinkle for needing a speedo gear with a longer shaft thin mine. That's fine. Most folks like my speedo gear shaft bbwhatvwer.

I'm not drinking right now anymore

Looks like my drag link is bent?

Time for one ton steering? Who is running what?

As the other guy in the chapter with WJ, I would say go with a ZJ setup especially for what you use it for. I wouldn't have gone WJ if I didn't need new hubs and brakes as well. I also got all the "junkyard parts" for $40.

Yeah, seems like a new ZJ setup would just be cheapest and easiest.

Does braking improve with the WJ setup?

Yes but I don't know how much because I went from whatever was on the front when I bought it and cheapest pads and rotors for the ZJ rear to black magic all around.

washed mine today. along with the rest of the fleet.

A better picture of my drag link.

So new co-worker has a 3D printer. Tempted to ask if he'd be interested in trying to print me a speedo gear.

Inspection passed

EDIT: Fixed speedo. Had to turn the speedo gear housing a bit.

Learned that trick the hard way too, there is an art to rotating and intsalling it for the sweet spot as I recall. Still need to redo it on my 87 wagoneer.

Rear diff in mine esploded on the way home for lunch.

Then I broke the rear hatch glass on the Forester.

Is today over yet?

Damn Ed, seems like its one thing after another on your rig lately.

Sorry bro.

Yeah, someone didn't like me yesterday. Oh well! Jeep is down until I either tighten the pinion nut to get it driving again or until my buddy comes out to fix it. Either way, it will be fixed properly once he gets some free time.

You've had noise coming from the axle for a long time right? Or Did you end up fixing that?
