there's a bunch of write ups out there on it, here's one:

The mirror can be found in most late 90's/early 2000's GM full size trucks and SUV's. Look for the one with a compass and temp button. Cost about 10 bucks at the yard.

You can build your own wiring harness for them, or buy one off Amazon like I did. If you build your own you'll want the wiring pigtail and the temp sensor from the core support of your mirror donor vehicle.

Then just find a switched power source to tap into and you're all set.

My door got tapped on by that overly friendly rock too.


I checked fluids in my jeep just in case stuff freezes over up here and I have to go somewhere. I'm holding off on finding another 8.25 since a friend of mine will be selling me his D30/8.25 with 4.56s in them soon. Been trying to get my Subaru to run correctly in the mean time.

Roger....they have the Pick-N-Pull in Elm Mott on Interstate 35.
