What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Cylinder5 138 psi
Cylinder6 145 psi

Found out my bumper will ship on Monday :D

Curious: why did you change the knuckle itself? If it's why I'm thinking, a helicoil would have tightened up your brake caliper bracket.

The caliper was sticking, and I found that the lower bolt was missing. It turns out the lower bolt hole had already been helicoiled, and the bolt had broken off in there. I attempted to drill it out, and failed. I tried to use an extractor, and it broke. So I just pulled a good knuckle from a wrecking yard and replaced it.

Yup...my mazda 6 has a hanging brake pad. Boutta go one tons there too. It's really the only solution.

Next project?

After a really long hiatus I started working on my 8.8 swap that has been in process for about 5 years now. I put the pinion back in and promptly over-torqued it ruining my crush sleeve. I have some more so maybe tomorrow I"ll give it another try with more patience. I tried to use a hammer but couldn't get the flange off the pinion to remove the old sleeve so I'll get to try out my new Dake press I suppose.

I went with a 10 ton, hopefully its enough for everything I need. I wish I could have sprung for the 20 but I'm on a budget afterall and it was 3x the price of the 10 ton I think.

Just saying , If you are beer drinker, there's nothing like the taste of that first sip on a HOT FRIDAY afternoon! Cheers to my working buds

Oh yea I replaced the connector on my elec fan on my 2000 XJ ;)

Put half my press together in preparation for axle work. The exploded view that came with this thing blows.
