Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

The wheels and tires look great, but I can't get down with the "wood." I shopped long and hard for a full size Waggy/Cherokee that didn't have that stuff on it.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I like the old look. We used to have a v6 wagoneer a looong time ago. It was awesome... when it ran

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I mainly see it as anti theft. But it still looks good to me.

I greased the ujoints in the front driveshaft and gave everything under a good looking over. Still leaking a little bit around the seal around the flange from the hackntap. I might have just put too much fluid in the tcase. I hope. Tomorrow, might install ny longer front brakelines or the other packages I got, depending on how lazy I am. Hope to have it offroad ready by the end of next weekend. I still wishes I had a garage!

And ended up with this...

New set of 33x12.50R15 Goodyear Duratracs on 15x8 soft 8's.
Fenders (front and rear) are now trimmed. and there are a new set of Rough Country 4.5 springs under the front.

All in all a good day :)

I'll get some better pictures in the daylight.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

So is that JCR's or your own homebrew? How much did it set you back?

You don't run front sways anymore do you?

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

JCRs and set me back a few .... no front sway...

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I chopped the top of the diff cover off and went straight forward to the truss, this should give me enough room. If not, it will clearance itself! :laugh3:

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I am a little behind so here is the last few days, so this is a 5 day update

this is on my 1996 Cherokee Sport 4.0 HO

figured out my leafs and shackles where over tightened...

adjusted my transfer case shift linkage

made some lower control arm shims...

shimmed my lower control arms

ratchet strapped my tire to the roof...

the day before that, installed a t case drop, did my own alignment, centered the steering wheel, installed a used Rancho steering stabilizer ($5)

another day before that installed the drivers side front spring (3"), modded my new shock and installed a new shock (JK rubicon take off), and relocated the brake line

3 days before today, installed the passenger side front(3") spring, modded my new shock and installed a shock (JK Rubicon take off), and relocated the brake line

4 days before today I installed the passenger side rear leaf and axle shim (3")
had to cut the old front eye's bolt out... it seized in the sleeve...
modded my new shock and installed a shock (JK Rubicon take off)

5 days before today I installed the driver side rear leaf and axle shim (3")
had to cut the old front eye's bolt out... it seized in the sleeve...
modded my new shock and installed a shock (JK Rubicon take off)
also removed the tow hitch, broke several bolts... plan to fix that soon
