What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Put on the BDS 5" springs, ACOS, BPE's and adjustable UCA's. Now I need to readjust the tracbar, do the SYE, adjust the LCA's, install the steering, get an alignment and wash the goat down, while trying to find a new job, finish my house, get it on the market, sell it, move and take care of my hot wife and 4 kids. Why do I drive a jeep, or at least why can't I leave it alone?

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

my balistic joints showed up in the mail.....

taking jeep in tomorrow to get gears installed

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Time for test drive number 2.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Woo Hoo... sucess. No leaks and time to hit the alignment shop.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Well yesterday.

I plasma cut a slit in both my lower shock mounts Then proceeded to bend then straight. When I adjusted my pinion angle the angle off the lower shock mounts were way off..lol Then welded on a couple small pieces to fill the gap. So those are finally fixed after over a year.

Redid my CB antenna and cable and mount

Redid my rear upper lights.

Oh and got bit by a spider. Which made me go to the doctors today and get a shot. No not in the arm either......plus now on meds to bring down the swelling and infection. No insurance but with the shot and the visit only costed 105.00 it was not to bad.

I was suppose to be doing my rear cargo area today but that didn't happena nd no time off till ROM now so I am guessing it will not be done....

And a few days ago I finally wired the winch up and spooled it out and in.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

picked up 16/35-15 Boggers for my wheelin tires! got them super cheap with a good amount of tread... now i need to find some 15x10 beadlocks

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

It's rolling, it's moving (under is own power), it STOPS very quickly. But yet it is not ready to wheel just yet. I now need a front driveshaft for it. But that is being worked out now.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

got the shackle relocation brackets put on and welded up-we will see how they work my stock shackle seems to hit the mount under compression of normal driving but the next adjustability point would leave me with a vertical (90 degree) shackle...hmmmm longer shackles maybe???

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

If it hits the mount, then just trim the mount a little. Several folks here have done that, and had great results. I have extended shackles so mine doesn't make contact.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I've heard either longer shackles or trimming the bracket.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

I did both.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

trimming the bracket seems logical what did you guys use-nothing i have seemed to want to cut the 1/4" i had to modify part of it for my crok bumper and ended up drilling holes instead of cutting but it was late and my mind wasnt thinking too much

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Well worst case scenario there is always a 4 inch grinder and a cutoff wheel. Otherwise a torch, plasma cutter, or sawsall would work I would think.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Dropped of my jeep to get gears installed and 8.25 swapped to 29 spline with a detroit.
