What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

so we pulled the head off the wifey's jeep, and to our surprise the head gasket doesn't look bad at all. which along with the pepto colored coolant im starting to think its the trans lines in the radiator. which wouldnt suprise me considering the trans is toast. so it looks like we will be converting her jeep to open cooling system in the near future.

Replaced the rear wheel cylinders, and brake shoes spring, and the rear hard lines. Had to shorten the one for the passenger side and re double flared the end. No leaks so far (thank God!) Although it has been feeling a little like its pulling to the right when braking, but only sometimes. Must need to adjust it a little.

Hey guys, new to the page. Wanting to swap a standard trans with an automatic. Besides drive shafts radiator/trans cooler, flywheel, what other complications might I get into? The auto is coming out of a 93xj to an 88xj that had manual. Any tips???

I'm planning on doing the same thing with my 92 mj unless I can find a cheap 4x4 ax15. Main problen your going to run into is renix and ho aw4s had different harnesses. Which isn't an issue if you plan on running it your power to any switched 12v source. Its fairly straight forward. Hardest part is like I said wiring in the trans harness, but its self controlling so its just switched powers and grounds.

Also make sure you use the auto driveshafts. The rear should be shorter.

Spent Saturday at an event "Operation Jingle Jeeps". It totaled 42 festively decorated jeeps (two of which were XJs, one was mine) being escorted with two cargo vans full of toys taking them to the child cancer patients at Memorial Hermann. It really was a fun time!

That's awesome!

finally got my shop cleared out enough/rebuilt enough to fit the purple people eater in it. took the 33's off it, and couldnt get all the wheel spacers off. so tomorrow i will try again with thinner walled sockets...

Was this in Houston? Looks like Rice or the old U of H Stadium?

Not sure if coincedence or the cold weather but my turn signals only worked for 3 clicks or so. Replaced flasher relay yesterday and now works fine... glad it was a simple solution and not wiring :)

Jumped mine and went to Whataburger.
