What was done to YOUR rig(XJ/MJ) today MECHANICALY????

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

That was pretty stupid and doing it on public ground is even dumber. Takes just one wrong person to see that and start a campaign against our kind. "Irresponsible offroaders jumping their vehicles in public with blatant disregaurd for public safety or laws". Something along those lines...

Your more than entitled to your opinion. However my private office parking lot is not what i would personally consider public ground, you might differ and i'd certainly be willing to listen. Obviously not something i make a habit of-in fact id love to wheel with ya most guys i've wheeled with would consider my approach more than conservative. Shoot me a PM and ill give you my cell phone number if you want to talk about it some more, like i said im more than willing to listen to your side and i'd rather explain the situation in detail that way if you prefer than over a forum.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Nice looking Jeep! I guess you did the mod where you cut the bottom off the hinge so you can put the doors back on?

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Installed the adjustable track bar. Getting the old one off sure was a pain. Nice and done though! Now to jump start the Jeep and take it to Sams Club to see why the battery keeps dieing...

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

What did it end up being, Ed? I saw your post about a 130A alternator. Was that it?

track bars are a lot easier to get off with a pickle fork. Is that what you used?

Not sure. jeep needs an alternator so its time to upgrade. I've been needing to jump start the jeep the past 2 times I've driven it. pretty sure the alternator isn't doing its job or the crappy interstate battery is fudged. its under warranty though. ill order the alternator next pay check.

Yep, used a ball joint separator. beat on it for a bit. went and ate after pb. blastering it. came back and beat on it some more.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Holy hell its humid outside. Just jumped the Jeep... twice. Battery isn't holding a charge. Just took it out. About to run to Sams Club... Once I'm done being lazy. I love having 2 vehicles.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

Tyler just needs to find him a D44 9" combo, and bring it on down to Texarkana and turn me loose on it!

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

HaHa...... if you weren't worried about breaking that D30..... you would probably really start taking more risks without even realizing it.

Re: What was done to YOUR rig today?

my new risk plan involves keeping all 4 tires on ground above 10mph-other than that my risk factor is limited by my passenger seat nagging
