what oil and filter do you run?

Anyone used the new royal purple filters? Whats the verdict other than they are expensive?

They make filters now? I haven't seen any. Interesting.

Fram and Mobil 1 oil. I would change filters in a heart beat if someone else would put the rhino lining stuff on the bottom like fram.

ever think about buying a few good filters ahead of time and buying that paint on er roll on rhyno lining stuff and making your own custom setup?

I am too lazy for that. I am just typical in that I am waiting for someone else to make a better setup instead of taking some initiative and doing it myself. Thanks for making me feel better about my laziness.

I know you said no synthetic, but its really is a good option, even at your mileage

That said, mobil1 10-w30 and wix filters.

Rotella-T 15w-40 and either Napa Gold/Wix, Amsoil, or M-1 filters....

I always throw in a blue bottle of STP as well...for that extra ZDDP

what would happen if i went synthetic at 108K miles?... i gotta kinda be dedicated to synthetic after that too huh

i was looking at amsoil, but i dont want to go full synthetic if i dont have to =/ i just want to increase my oil pressure a little and get away from freakin valvoline 10-30.

I went to full synth at around 180K and Ive had no problems at all.

Mobil 1 5W-30 in the winter months, and 10W-30 in the summer months.

Napa Gold filter on every vehicle i've ever changed the oil on and they've yet to give me a bit of trouble.

As far as non synthetic oil, I usually just use Napa House Brand.....Put some in my step sis's car back in May when I changed the oil, and she hasn't had it changed yet. So that's 9 months now on an single oil change....and her commute to work is less than half a mile one way.

Engine hasn't locked up.......yet.

Currently a Royal Purple oil filter with Royal Purple oil.....It was on sale :)

so i found the on sale royal purple stuff =)

i went ahead and went with the royal purple synthetic stuff. hopefully it will work out better for me and i'll have to do less freq oil changes.

they claim better mpg better power and better protection... hopefully their right
