What makes a good weld?

this is spray arc a new process we got at work and i am finally getting good at it: thanks for letting me show off

I had to run spray arc for a competition for highschool i went to not to long ago. At first it was weird, reminded me of 6010 and flux-core together if that makes any sense. After you get the hang of it, u can run some nice beads with it and get excellent penetration as long as everything is prepped. Nice kob on those beads btw!

IIRC, Photoshop cleans up bad welds.

my grandfather welded on subs in the navy for 15 years 30 years ago. he said that used to give them about a 5 inch deep piece of angle iron and have them fill it with beads. one mistake anywhere in the angle and they wont let you near a sub...
