Wow I'm running out of time. Still need to get stiffeners welded on. Sliders installed. And find the vibrations in the front end?????

Put a new starter in my truck since I thought it croaked on me while I was in the middle of changing the injector O-rings. Turned out I didn't have all the connections secure. Oh well. After I buttoned everything up it seemed to run great. Quiet, consistent, no shakes. Then the next day it decided to run *real* rough, like a cylinder or two are missing, and after a minute or two it will die. Takes 10-20 seconds of cranking to fire up again. Thinking I damaged an injector or two putting it back in or messed up the brand new O-rings putting them in. I'm an amateur.

This finally prompted me to buy AutoEnginuity for it, so once that gets here I can diagnose which injectors are causing problems and hopefully get parts and fix it. Looks like there is an International dealer around here so that might be my quickest/cheapest resource for getting parts. I don't know, maybe it's time to suck it up and get it towed to a diesel shop but I'd really like the satisfaction of fixing my own mistake.

So, waiting for AE, and still waiting for XJ parts.

Good thing this one is streetable! :D

Lets see, at the min.

*get my hitch on (requires metal shaving)
*get a first aid kit
*Get a d ring insert for my hitch (or a d ring to attach to the safety chain hook up part)
*get a fire extinguisher.

Starting to wonder if I should have signed up to go since I have no idea if I can get that all done.

I have a small cash reserve in the bank I can call on, but it is for my mission trip in April.

.

Please make sure you get an insert for the hitch. Hooking a d ring to the safety chain mount is NOT a safe place for a recovery pull. Thank you.

You can put the strap though the hitch and use the pin to secure it through the loop. That will save buying an insert for now.

mac 'done it that way for years 'gyvr

Got to Walmart.....grab a cheap first aid kit.

Grab a cheap fire extinguisher (with a gauge).

Should take you all of 10 min.

Take Ken with you if you need help.

After all the $ we just spent on parts (lol) we may be just camping if i cant get this first one done (im coming anyway dang it)

Find Engine and swap it
(having hard time sourcing an 00 01 engine anywhere in time)

JCR Gas Tank Skid (not delivered)

JCR Transfer Case Skid (Needs installed)

Borrow trailer and mount the New RTT to trailer (probably weld up a frame to go under it and support it)

2x6 Rocker replacement w Aj's outer rail kit (Mostly DONE !)

HAVE TO: (if i get the rig running)

Get visibly charged fire extinguisher (should've done that a long time ago)

Install my new CB with no cb radio knowledge (Possibly with illXj's help if i cant get it done before WF i will send you a pm about it thanks btw )

Find a better way to tie down my cargo on trail..

Look into Talyn's thread on installing a Dodge Viper coil pack instead of the OEM one.

The only reasons you can't use a 91-99 motor are the coil pack mounting bosses (solved with his setup) and the way the exhaust manifolds line up with the ports on the head, which as I recall also has a fairly cheap solution.
