What I need to get done before Winterfest

Made a verbal agreement on a trailer today. Picking it up this next weekend hopefully as long as all goes planned...gonna have 10 days to learn about it and pack it.

Still need to get stump grinded, and rock down in the new parking spot.

Oh, the Jeep...

I wouldn't plan on wheeling with the rooftop tent attached to your jeep

thanks for the heads up. Low limbs I suppose? Or too much weight too high?

(i can use a trailer from work to put it on). Ultimately I wanted a trailer (m416?) to put it on..

Jeep is all but done, couple small things to button up. Might just get to doing the onboard welder.....if it warms up a bit I might try it, I have been burning up the propane the past two days keep the garage warm.

changed out the slave cylander on the clutch for the tow rig this morning, just waiting for the family to get home so I can bleed it out. Dang froze my hands off. Thursday I will clean out the camper and throw in what I need for the trip. Then I am all ready.

Jeep just about ready, the last piece of the puzzle will be installed at the campground. Got the rusted in hitch step out, still need to figure out what I want to do with the front swaybar. It will probably just get removed for now. Hoping to swap the front CVs for ujoint shafts, maybe a 231 swap if the driveshafts work out. If not the 231 will have to wait.

new front u-joints are done
front pinion bearing done
new tires are put on
AND the wobble is finally gone!!! :-)

still need to get stiffies, sliders, and front tie in brackets on.

I have officially jumped the shark on the axle swap. I will bypass MI probably due to the weak undersized axles. I will just play on red or pink or what ever the hell it is.....

One problem after another today with trying to work with those axles, but the shining light at the end of the tunnel was a uncovered a Detroit in the front axle, a spool in the rear, and I sold Dan my full hydor steering set up....WF just got alot cheaper for me :D

Cheese "bring on the booooooozeee, and cheesey bacon goodness" Man

got it bleed out and it works a little better but still not enough pedal throw, gonna have to do the clutch master also it looks like. Always something LOL at least it easy to change out

Waiting on parts for the XJ... still... now... still... now. Starting to get anxious but everyone assured me they'd ship in time so I'm being patient.

Changed injector O-rings on the 7.3, went to bump the starter to get the oil out of the cylinders and the starter died on me. Already spent a few nights freezing my hands off in the driveway to get this far, now I just have to get motivated to lay on the ground and get it changed and button everything up.

I need a longer garage or a shorter truck. Two weekends left to get everything done, for those keeping track...

A huge step was finally made for me tonight. finally got my tcase out of the parts jeep. updated list for now would be

get new used tcase in
and rear brakes(axle seals, drums, shoes, cylinders)

even bigger step made today. lock right locker came in today, so while in there replacing those seals this will get installed. now that all the parts are here and ready to go in, its time to get them in.

SAM'18 days to get her done'SET

I understand that... although, in my case, it's the bed topper, it's right at 7', and a garage door in a 7' opening won't clear 7'. My CTD needs new tires (Discount Tire, here I come,) new shocks and new injectors. Shocks & injectors are going to have to wait for warmer weather.

I am so glad mine fits...without a truck camper of course lol...

It takes up a ton of room but it fits...

hmmmmm,

make it start again?

yeah., that's a good one for the list.

It would apear that the winter weathre has hosed me, the back half of my fuseblock is an ice cube.

heatgun tonight so I can take the connector off the back and fix it so the ignition goes back to working.

good times.

not to self, don't leave the hood cracked, cause then the seal at the firewall doesn't seal. :crying:
