What I need to get done before Winterfest

-go to Pats shop and take on another full rocker replacement project.

Wanna take on two of those? :D

Seiously though, if you need some help I'll come help you knock those off your list.

Lets see... I get to delete a few

Get visibly charged fire extinguisher (should've done that a long time ago)

Get and install a CB with no cb radio knowledge (Possibly with illXj's help if i cant get it done before i will send you a pm about it thanks btw )

Maybe get a new radiator ( skipping until this summer or until it leaks again)

E-brake noise : looks like when i swapped my brakes onto my new axles i forgot and lost the lower spring on the right side that hooks to the ebrake arm (arm?) and pulls it back away from the drum.
I called a guy from craigslist today about getting liberty disks from his part out. if not ill just replace the spring (most likely)

And a "light" Test run (my buddy had to cancel on coming with me so im shure he will get me to go before winterfest)

Just about got the buggy back together...

Have a short list of "have to" and a long list of "want to"

mac 'still sorting out trailer and sleeping accommodations :) 'gyvr

new transfer case
install new jcr bumper
rear axle seals
rear brakes
lockers
gears
maybe some more metal on the floors:D

IF all that was to happen the in would try for 3 more 35s for the durango and some 4:56 gears and a trailer

A huge step was finally made for me tonight. finally got my tcase out of the parts jeep. updated list for now would be

get new used tcase in
and rear brakes(axle seals, drums, shoes, cylinders)

Update, bought the built dana 30 Lawn Cher had for sale so now my winterfest list has changed some. Need to regear the rear to match the front.

Need:

Lots of help -------------- still need
Front bumper ------------- still need
Gas tank skid ------------- still need
CB ----------------------------- still need
Fire Extinguisher ---------- still need
Front brake lines ---------- have just need installed
3/4" spacer up front ------ have just need installed
4.56s for the rear --------------still need

Want:

Trim fenders/remove all stock plastics/"massage" inner fenders -------------- done
Cut out rockers and replace with box steel ---------------------------------------- still need
Repair drivers floorboard ------------------------------------------------------------ still need
Rear bumper + cut and fold -------------------------------------------------------- more like chop out rust and replace with new
Replace 31" at's with 33" mt's ------------------------------------------------------ done
New shocks with rear crossover/flush lower mounts ----------------------------- prob not gonna happen
Bumpstops sorted out front and rear -------------------------------------------------- in the works
Beefy steering ------------------------------------------------------------------------ attached to new axle going in soon
Rear locker and alloy shafts --------------------------------------------------------- halfway there
Longarms ------------------------------------------------------------------------- prob wont happen

So I did some painting and trim work. Got some door edge guard at the parts store and ran it along the front fenders. It looks great up close but in the picture you cant see it because its only about a 1/4" in height. I wish there was a slightly larger version of this stuff, a full inch would look better. In the rear I taped off above the spot where the flares had scratched the paint and rattle canned it with black. I also rattle canned my rhinolined door bottoms and rockers that had to faded gray. Then I put my trimmed bumper end caps back on until I get aftermarket bumpers. All I can say is electrical tape works really well to tape off for painting. Very easy to manipulate and seems to seal even better than painters tape. Last thing I need to do is clean up the front wheel wells and paint them black.

Is it bad the 33s are starting to look small already?

Got the choke issue squared away and the tune up done. IRO track bar came in today and will go on tomorrow along with a new set of 31's. I'm starting to feel like for every one item I get done, I add two more to the list.

That's Jeeps for ya!

Get my mid stiffeners welded on.
Put on my jcr sliders, front bumper tie ins,
find somewhere/someway? To mount my spare,
change front pinion bearing.
Put new tires on
Pit together first aid kit :-)

Since my work screwed up and I'll be paying taxes instead of getting back the grand I had planned for... Some things just won't be done this year.

My 3 week crash course on the green trail bomber:

-Get my ugly MTR's mounted on my murdered out ZJ wheels. Then mount the wheels. DONE!

-hopefully find a spindle so I can inherit Pat's old tire carrier, then weld it on. DONE! Decided its riding inside...

-go to Pats shop and take on another full rocker replacement project.

-install heavier duty steering

-rear bumpstops

-relocate my cb antenna somewhere safer
-change oil

-change spark plugs

-Order JCR bolt strip things so I can maybe mount a tank skid at the badlands.
-finish my rear bumper tie-ins, should be easy.

-register for WF

-see if Pat still had the factory tcase skid I turned down months ago.

-pack spare random stuff that is scattered everywhere in my garage

Not that bad of list...

Big 'short on time and cash, but who isn't?' Hank

One big step complete. Boss gave 400 of us a half day today. Called people in for a fake meeting. Served pizza and told us to go home.

Tires / Wheels mounted and mounted.

Looks like a rig now!

OK the Fiancee Decided to spend some $ on the Rig (she thinks it will ensure we can drive home and that shell be more comfy)
So now i have to add more To my list.

HOPEFULLY get ordered and installed (might not come in time) :

JCR Gas Tank Skid

JCR Transfer Case Skid

Get a Tepui Rooftop tent at bass pro shop And figure out how im going to mount it (dont have a roof rack) Maybe we can weld up a ladder box to reinforce stock roof rack ?
i had not planned on doing a roof rack as i want a hybrid exo cage. (and a trailer to mount the tent on)

2x6 Rocker replacement w Aj's outer rail kit (no bender)

And a "light" Test run

HAVE TO:

Get visibly charged fire extinguisher (should've done that a long time ago)

Install my new CB with no cb radio knowledge (Possibly with illXj's help if i cant get it done before WF i will send you a pm about it thanks btw )

Find a better way to tie down my cargo on trail..

I planned on running the green trail and she still wants to buy skids and rails.
