U haul rented you a trailer that you told them you were putting a car on and that you were going to pull with an XJ?

wow... you must have different u-hauls than I do...

around here, they wont rent to you unless you have an f-250 or other 3/4ton...

and your windsheild sticker is on backwards...

Me thinks he..........bent....the truth.

There was no truth bending on my behalf.

The uhaul associates went as far as to physically inspect the Jeep.
I am not a liar; as I accurately described my vehicle as well as the load to the employees.
All said and done, I pulled the trailer slowly and safely from point A to point B.

Whether or not the vehicle was rated for the capacity I towed, I do not know.
I am no expert in towing capacities nor the guidelines by which they are made.
There was some discussion amongst the employees as my information was entered.
In the end, the employees had to depict my vehicle as a Grand Cherokee in order to allow rental.
This was a small, privately owned and operated rental and uhaul branch in Michigan.

Once the Model A was loaded, I test drove XJ with the full load.
At that time, I felt that I could safely and effectively transport the vehicle, which I did.

However, I would like to refute the claim that I lied the the uhaul company, as this is untrue and the basis for such a comment is unfounded.
I entirely respect REV DEN's knowledge and notoriety.

Then you got lucky with U-Haul, being a small outfit worked to your advantage.

The fact they had to enter it as a Grand shows how stringent U-Haul can be.

My comment was tounge-in-cheek and based on my, and most others, experiances with U-Haul.

its true, they had to bend their own rules to make the sale to me.
my past experiances with uhaul are the same as you are describing; I totally agree with you.
however, i was confidient in the vehicles ability when i tried her out.

and im not being a whiney little guy here like you read in some of the posts!
(you know the ones, all backpeddling and trying to defend themselves)
I wanted to make sure you all understood i didnt lie or cheat my way into the deal...

Rev

i mostly use my website to store or transfer data between home and work, or post pictures, etc.

its initial creation was intended to show my personal portfolio to the world to help me get a job, which worked out pretty well.

since i am no longer looking for work, its not a high priority to keep her updated and in good order...

....however, check this out!
