Me thinks he..........bent....the truth.
Rev
There was no truth bending on my behalf.
The uhaul associates went as far as to physically inspect the Jeep.
I am not a liar; as I accurately described my vehicle as well as the load to the employees.
All said and done, I pulled the trailer slowly and safely from point A to point B.
Whether or not the vehicle was rated for the capacity I towed, I do not know.
I am no expert in towing capacities nor the guidelines by which they are made.
There was some discussion amongst the employees as my information was entered.
In the end, the employees had to depict my vehicle as a Grand Cherokee in order to allow rental.
This was a small, privately owned and operated rental and uhaul branch in Michigan.
Once the Model A was loaded, I test drove XJ with the full load.
At that time, I felt that I could safely and effectively transport the vehicle, which I did.
However, I would like to refute the claim that I lied the the uhaul company, as this is untrue and the basis for such a comment is unfounded.
I entirely respect REV DEN's knowledge and notoriety.
