What do YOU need to do before NWFest 2010 ?

I just do them all with a ball peen hammer.

I get complaints from my neighbors when I use hammers, so I use alternate methods whenever possible.

"If you can't fix it with a hammer it must be electrical"

Last edited:
1. replace ball joints on passenger side (Done)
2. Swap in TJ Dual diaphragm booster and MC (Done)
3. Put new rear drive shaft back together and get gunk out of slip section (Done)
4. Swap in SYE Xfer case (50% been busy)
5. Retest everything

Last test run went well just getting to all the things I wasn't happy about. If I have time and funding I will go down to ACRO and have my beadlocks mounted. I will also swap in a ram 2500 brake MC if I have time.

New list (I'm going in the wrong direction here)

1. Finish Xfer case swap
2. Finish rod end Xfer case linkage
3. Install new radiator
4 Install/wire new electrical fan
5.run power steering fluid into radiator at cooler
6. replace driver side spindle with shiny new one
7. Ream and install waggy drop pitman arm
8. more bedliner
9. bigger MC (dodge 2500 most likely)

-Install IRO OTK steering (DONE)
-Buy/install bilstein shocks for the rear (working on finding some)
-Possible weld the rear end (new carrier) or add friction plates (doubt it'll happen)
-Rocker replacements (starting tomorrow, hope to be done Saturday)
-Replace a few gaskets and sensors that have been annoying me (TPS done, the rest = not necessary)
-Reinforce D30 control arm mounting/replace UCA bushings (DONE)
-Weld trackbar bracket onto the frame (keeps coming loose/popping) (DONE)
-MAYBE add a hitch to the rear bumper if I have time (no way)
-Install gas tank skid (If I feel ambitious next week, otherwise...no)
-Weld shackle relocation brackets up (When I weld the rockers I'll do this...)
-Change all fluids (DONE)

With 3 days a week off, I'm hoping I'll be able to pound this all out in time to properly test everything before NWFest. But because nothing is particularly major, I'm not too worried.

I have a lot to do this week...

Ordered some new bling shocks, thinking about painting it still. Race radios would be cool, maybe I'll call Rugged Radios next week and see whats going on.

Front shocks are in, rears will wait, as will the painting. I am leaving sunday for Trail Tour and will meet up with all of you either friday or saturday. party1:

Last weekend to:
GF jeep
hack and tap
rear... Everything!!
Lube and check all nuts and bolts
mine
lube and check all nuts and bolts
locktight tranny mount bolts (they keep backing out)

pack tools
jeeps and trailer

Figure out new rock sliders. Went to put on the set I had custom made DON'T EFFING FIT. So now I've got a week to come up with something or else wheeling is gonna SUCK.

I keep taking on new projects last minute. Got a whole slew of new gauges to mount and wire up, remove factory under-dash a/c stuff and tidy up wiring, maybe try to straighten out my rocker and cage a little. And watch the weather and this weekend's trip reports to decide if I'm running the DOT tires currently mounted or changing out to the sticky's.

Don't be so hard on your mom, I'm sure she tried her best. :D

What's wrong with them?

Actually a guy from WP made them for me. The bracket that bolts to the pinch seam is down too low and needs to be a little further out. I'm hopefully gonna meet with him Sunday
