What do you do at work?

You recruiters should dress up like the recruiter from "Starship Troopers", (the book not the movie) The expressions alone would be well worth it. Your percentages would go way down, but you'd bet some of the best recruits going.
Ha! that would be awsome "hurry up and grow up kid, Need more meat for the grinder!" As far as the book instead of the movie.. It's on my list.

I work part-time as a Systems Engineer at Raytheon NCS in Marlborough, MA, with a full-time position once I graduate in August.

Requirements documentation and integration and test on site are in the job description, but I don't work enough to jump on board any big projects yet. I basically help my section manager out with management tasks for now.

I repair and install all dental, veterinarian and medical imaging equipment. Things like x-ray's, ultra sounds, and MRI's. The best part of my job is I live in the middle of no where take home my new AWD company van and cover the northwoods of Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I never punch a time clock or see my Boss, although he is one of the nicest guy's I know.

I thank God every day for giving me a good job and pray that the people struggling out there will be able to find decent employment.

Back in the early to mid 90's, I used to work on (service and repair) the Delta Barriers all over Europe, small world.
They will also launch a small truck, we affectionately called them car launchers.

You have the best job ever...except I'd want more range time.

Yeah they are making alot of changes around here most units bring there own line coaches so we only do it for security. As were running right now we'll have an estimated 10,000 9mm to fire off in september for the new fiscal year. That should be entertaining until the 1000ish mark when loading mags gets annoying.

Part time video "editor" in philly. Sometimes I edit video, mostly I take the tapes and digitize them onto our LanShare. This involves scanning the tape and logging it, breaking it down into as many clips as necessary, setting an audio level, then clicking "Batch Capture" and sitting back for an hour and cruise NAXJA and daydream about Jeeps. I also get to output the final product to tape once a real editor has put it together. The other part of the time I work on software. People at both of these jobs always wonder how I come in with dirt under my fingernails on Monday morning...

Im a Chemist at an Environmental Laboratory, testing drinking water, waste water and soil for volitile organic compounds (voc's) and BTEXS/oxygenates (gasoline) contamination.

I'm a validation/test engineer for Intel. My job is figuring out how to break our products before you lot do :) We catch "pentium bugs".

I never really got into the porn thing, Don't get me wrong it was pleasant to drop in and see some fine ladies every now and again.
But I stumbled across a young gent watching something about girls and a cup?
I don't really look inside any more, I just pull the cord. Scarred for life doesn't begin to describe it.
ahahaha you have no idea how hard I'm laughing right now. I try and remember to throw something amusing into my browsing history at work once in a while to keep the IT guys laughing at my antics, but I stay away from the actual illegal/NSFW/bad stuff that would get me in trouble if seen. Other than that, the policy is "get your work done, don't break any laws, and we don't care"

Hey, I'm in Worcester and have friends from college (WPI) that work at Raytheon. You wouldn't happen to know two guys named John and Nick there, WPI '07 would you?

Yep, 2nd shift, but I am not working today so I can do that.

I post on my phone too.

Do you drive your XJ to work?

I used to drive my lifted ZJ, but I sold that and now have a lifted XJ, but I have only driven that a few times to work. I mostly drive a really loud POS toyota...

I ride my motorcycle to work daily. Every other thursday I take my XJ cause I can't carry 40lbs of dog food on my bike HAHA. I've seen a black ZJ parked close to gate 6, was that your's?

I'm a landlord for 120 rental units. I deal with nice, interesting and honest people everyday. :wierd:

but really i work for a printing company printing labels for krylon to brake cleaner peel the label if it says CL&D i had something to do with it

so who out there works nights and has trouble being awake during the day (5pm-6am)???

I bust my @$$ making lots of money for a already rich man and he rewards me with a small portion of it every other week. :rattle:

But actually I am a "Master Air Brake Technician" and that entails rebuilding all of Norfolk Southerns locomotive air brakes. I am a diesel mechanic by trade and have my degree. I do not work for N-S but for a private contractor, My department alone earns 13 million a year with only 7 employees. I actually like what I do but after 22 years I would rather do something else for a change.
