What did you do to your XJ today

JEEZ I HAVE ALMOST DOUBLE THAT....

Pulled the axles, getting 4.56's, chromo's rear discs, and lockers installed finally! Gotta rebuild the flex joints in the long arms and replace leaf spring bushings....
Only bummer is I'm gonna have to take it all back out soon to install my u-bolt eliminators, move my shock mounts up and install my truss and track bar bracket :(

Anyone have a rough country spanner wrench for the RC flex joints? I have a wrench that I think will work, but figured I'd ask just incase

And this is why I hate drum brakes! Wtf
I'll take discs any day....

Yup, I've got one.
not sure if you want to come over and use it, or figure out a way to meet up and borrow it... either way... lemme know.

Cool, will do, thank you!

Pisses me off because I ordered one when I bought a bunch of stuff about 6 months ago, and it wasn't in the box (of course said box had a big hole in it!!)
So I bought and 'adjustable' wrench for skill/milwaukie grinders that may work.... lol I'll let you know tonight

Got the driver side unibody repair tacked in

Rebuilt my joints in my long arms, like to say thank you to Josh (NW99XJ)!!!!
Pulled my trans pan and changed fluid and filter, and a few other little things.... Been a busy, stressful weekend! I can't wait to get things buttoned up and actually enjoy all this labor....

Still have to install rusty's steel fenders, rear locker, front shafts, leaf bushings, boostwerks shackles, artec truss, ubolt eliminators, move shock mounts up, boostwerks transfer case shifter, front coil spacers, and get two more raceline's and get the iroks mounted. What a list! I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever hit the trail!!!!!

Over the weekend washed engine bay very well 2 times using degreaser both times then came home and blew everything off with air.

Today installed new plugs/wires/cap/rotor/dist. gasket (seemed to have a small leak).

Then removed the throttle body and sensors from it, cleaned sensors and all items in readiness for installing them on the new "Bored TB" that's coming tomorrow. Then cleaned up around the fuel rail and pulled the old injectors out, now ready to install the new "782's" in their place.

I still have to reset the computer when I'm finished and will then see if I have a smother idle like so many have stated after a swap like this. I would think throttle response should be better but don't know about that time will tell. Don't really expect much more but if I get both of those I'm happy.

Got my front axle back in and all buttoned up. Took my rear shafts to six states and had the studs pressed in, then cleaned up the threads.... painted the housing, re installed the zj backing plates again (forgot locktite) and just as I got ready to put it in, my locker finally showed up! So called it a night, I'll install the shafts, locker, and discs tomorrow night and fill the diffs and be on the road again finally!

2.5 is out and removed all unnecessary stuff off the firewall.

I forgot to grab pictures but Adam and I found some disappointing things about the Ford 9 I recently purchased, but only found this after we did a few hours of work on it. One shaft with a slight bend to it. Driver side axle flange was replaced at one time but it is roughly 1/4" out, spline contact is not where it should be. YAY! Time to search for a new housing....again. Anyone needing a Ford 9 housing ready to be cut down???
