What did you do to your XJ today

replaced cap and rotor again. and started to line up a truck to gather up all my spare parts up to scrap or give away. making room for stuff to change. also got to more racing seats for the back of the jeep

2.5 is out and removed all unnecessary stuff off the firewall.

I forgot to grab pictures but Adam and I found some disappointing things about the Ford 9 I recently purchased, but only found this after we did a few hours of work on it. One shaft with a slight bend to it. Driver side axle flange was replaced at one time but it is roughly 1/4" out, spline contact is not where it should be. YAY! Time to search for a new housing....again. Anyone needing a Ford 9 housing ready to be cut down???

Didn't I point out the flange being messed up when yoh brought it up there? Oh, and I'm totally taking your shocks next time I'm there! Lol

You did point that out, I wanted it to work out. Adam and I were talking about that yesterday. It sucks, it blows but oh well. For how smoothly the front end worked out, this little snag is ok....

Well after all the BS my axles are in, everything back together, and the jeep is alive! So far so good! Everything's nice and quiet, no howling or whining. Just the normal clicking from the lunch box lockers! So happy to finally be driving it again!

Used EricsXJ method for that from his website. DO not order from Kellys Work in Progress, what a bizarre interaction and ended up getting paypal to refund me. ended up with all HD power cables made locally for the jeep.

This wire gets expensive!

getting ready to cut holes

Cutting my fenders, and installing my rustys steel fenders finally!
Pics to come....

Anyone interested in helping me hang these fenders tomorrow? I can pay you for your time if needed.... Shouldn't take more than a couple hours

well changed the u joint on the 44 had to take them to get pressed out. cleaned up the spindle and hubs on both sides it locks in alot better was surprised at how easy everything came apart and went together other than the unjoints never had issues pulling them myself till these sets.

Finally got my fenders on

Now my tires look small! Things will look better and kinda 'flow together' once I paint the lower rocker area black and get bumpers on....
