What did you do to your XJ today

Just did my sye, only took 6 hours lol learned I shouldn't try and cut corners and actually take the cone off and then back half of the case apart not just leave the cone and take the back half off. The oil slinger in the cone wouldn't seat on to the output shaft and caused a no shift/no 2wd as it kept the output shoved back to far. Did that twice before I realized that. :-/

Looks good, man. Any reason why you didn't color match the armor?

They all start out clean by the way...

You know, I seriously considered color matching. My buddy did it on his LJ with all the poison spyder armor, but once you start scratching it then it looks like crap. That and to do it right would cost a few bucks. And I haven't had good luck with rattle can white.

That and the fact that I think the bumpers, rockers, sliders, light boxes, armor and grill being black will look kinda cool on the white.... We will see.

And yeah, I know it will be pretty beat in a year or so. I'm on XJ #6 so let's just say I've given up on a nice straight body.... It may look pretty now, but it also hasn't been wheeled yet!

Not what to my jeep but what I got today

Came out of a pristine 87 xj that had only 152,00 miles. The interior had no absolutely no stain or anything. This had to been a pull behind xj from a old couple has this xj you could tell there was no abuse to it.

Picked up an XJ for my brother FINALLY!! Nothing too crazy, just a '95 with tnt customs 6" long arm, & tnt's rear coil conversion, full skids, sliders, frame stiffeners, 35's, d30 w/4.88's & an Aussie, d44 w/4.88's & limited slip. Lol pretty bad ass rig for a first xj/wheeler....

Spent the entire day detailing it for him. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to vehicle cleaning so I went to town on it. It was filthy! Looks amazing now though! Also made the first 'mod', my signature American flag on the antenna!

Got a couple things to do to it, and a few little things to finish up on mine. I'm thinking a shake down will be in order here in a few weeks if anyone is interested!

Well Dustin came over today and lent another set of eyes and maned my dying compressor. Made a ton of profess today.

Shock hoops are in. I notched a piece of angle to go through the floor and tie into my frame plating.

Then I welded on my axle truss and added some armor.
