Cut my frame plates for my winch bumper. Pulled the bumper, unbolted the steering box.

Good thing we are leaving late tomorrow. Hell I haven't even swapped tires yet.

I received my frame stiffeners

made some decent front and rear tow hook mounts... they mount threw the 'frame' and then through a decent sized chunk of 1/4" plate steel, all with grade 8, 1/2" bolts

cut my finger, the ONE time I neglected to put on my gloves, that would be the time that the grinder would ride up the peice and go all OM NOM NOMS on my finger...

installed my bump stop that was missing...

figured out I need more bump stop in the front

installed/replaced a missing coil retainer

i cleaned the garage and backed it in. pulled the rear tires and drumms off to check the breaks found i have a leaky wheel seal on drivers rear

There's a loud clunk/bang everytime I turn right and then the same noise on the way back to straight. No noise turning left. It does it stopped and moving.

Mine was doing that but It ended up just being a slightly loose trackbar bracket. It was hard to see when dry steering and staring at it. Darn thing didnt even move but would make all sorts of popping/banging and clunking noises. I would check that real quick. If that isnt it get a long screwdriver and use it as a stethescope on the box itself to see if its something inside binding up?

Saturday i took it wheelin with a few friends got it a little muddy and going to go get it even muddier at my friends house for our senior car show this year (going for muddiest rig if you couldn't tell haha)

Today I calibrated my deflators

Then I put air back in my tires/tested my compressor. 20psi to ~37 psi in about two minutes, much better than my old harbor freight pos that took ten minutes a tire.

I did started pulling off my pushbar and and front bumper. I orderd a super yanker from from masterpull and i picked up the grill guard with winch mount that somone gave me. Its for a s10 but that just means I have to do some fab work Heres a couple pics.

shane, looks like you have quite the fab project ahead of you! Shouldnt be too hard though, just some bumper brackets

I plan on using my factory bumper brakets and welding them to some square steel toobing and bolting it grill guard to that. I will probably need to figure out how to beef up the bumper brakets though

So after everyone who drove my heep during the firedrill run said my drivers seat sucked goat balls. It got me thinking........ so I swapped my seat with a 4dr drivers seat. Positive thing is that now I sit higher, the back reclines as well as rocks back and up, and the seat is firm and cradles my back. The draw back is that I have a 2dr. and now my seat doesn't fold forward. so I have to slide it all the way forward to get to the back, not a big deal. I also did the Red bull mod to give me some wings! and wired up the lights on my bumper and removed the lights from my front clip.
.....
Seat pretty much looks the same. same color. imagine a front seat!!
