Got my explorers broken drivers inside door handle replaced for a new one. And cleaned out the VW.

I got as far as stripping mine down, shortened the back section of the frame, and started mock up to build a solo seat then it kinda got moved to the side.
I need to relace the wheels with new spokes then I should be able to start reassembling it.

You know what RD stands for right? Rapid Death. Because that's what happens on those things you die. My boss had a built one back in the day. He started riding almost when he could walk. He said they were scary.
they are not fast so what is so scary about them a built one back in the day couldn't hold a candle to modern stock stuff my 1000CC bike ran 10's in the quarter stock

The power band on a two stroke is way different. Of course modern stuff is way faster.
But I'm talking about when it was built. My buddy had the RD Edidie Lawson replica, he just sold it about 4 years ago.
How old where you when the RD came out?
And when your old your kids will be saying the motor cycles we are ridding now are slow.

It should scoot along pretty good, the RD has basically an air cooled Banshee engine in it.
