What did you break on your XJ today

So I just replaced my headlights and moved on to inspecting my front end linkages about to replace the track bar bushings when I found a problem. On the inside of my control arm drop bracket on the passenger side there is a plate that wraps around and ties it into the unibody. It is still firmly connected to the unibody rail but the whole weld along the bracket is broken. Also, the back side of the bracket on the very top where it meets the rail it is gaped and it appears as though the unibody rail is pushed into its self. God I hate fixing other owners mess ups. The brackets are bolted and welded in pretty good. I'm hoping that its as simple as rewelding the fractures. If not I'm going to need to find someone who can help me make some long arms.

Took the Heep out to TSF today With some of the Pistons Wild 4x4 guys. I caught a bit of Carnage on rocky hill? anyways right up at the top I smashed my rear right quarter panel into a large rock protruding from the wall. Then on the way BACK through it the other way I smashed my rear left quarter panel, the rock slid alone the panel and ripped my left taillight off. Surprisingly that was all my carnage I got for the day aside from a few pumpkin smacks I got no cracks or fluid leaks.

I only got a shot of the right panel . So just add no taillight to that pic and you'll get the idea.

 I got a driverside tail light over here in that parts rig if you need one.

Watched both those hits:cheers: I ended up dragging bumper along that rock and smashing it with the front bumper on the way up. Now I have a nasty lean in the jeep.....not sure what the problem is but I think its a stuck shock because it is stiff as heck even with no sway bar attached. Other then a few scrapes I think im good so far but its going up on the lift for inspection to see what I missed lol

You've got a lift! Lucky. I get to crawlaround on my back. Atleast I have carpet in the garage.

Oh No's I dont have a lift my father-in-law does. I wish I did! Im headed there today to check to see if I really broke something or if its just hung up somewhere.

Saturday: Tried to self clearance the windshield, and I'm fairly confident I killed my leaf springs. She's squatting like a dog now.

The oxy-acetylene torch, my shackle tabs, and myself will all be getting very familiar soon.

Think my water pump is dying:gonnablow I noticed temp was fine when driving but when I get to a light the temp approached 250. I get out and look and notice my coolant tank is empty and it was dripping from underneath.. Popped the hood and it looked like it was coming from the lower hose. I got a new one and installed it. But when running I still see a steady drip. Never did a water pump before if it is the water pump. I think it's the water pump because that's what the hose connects too and it appears at least from up top to be coming from there. Is the water pump difficult to change on a 4.0 with no AC? Any locals know of a good shop to take it too? I think I might get real pissed trying to replace it. It's not my only vehicle so I can let it sit until this leak is fixed but I'm already feeling sick without my xj to be my DD lol

i lost a mirror, gained a dent and broke a signal light

I took a BFH and massaged the rim back true, so now it looks like it never happened. Thank god for steel wheels!!!

I just threw my wallet away there was no longer a need to carry something that holds money when I have none. :( Dam Jeep it was only suppose to be something to tow my quads I have way more in the Jeep now that I paid for my quad new. I have almost thought about selling the quad for more Jeep parts. I must be Charlie Sheen only addicted to Jeeps not myself. :)
