What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

yikes.

Just weld the damn thing solid and build the motor till you can take off in what would be third gear... or put a t56 in it

I don't race, nothing to prove on the car. I know what it'll run with me driving it. I I'm no way feel its the world's fastest car. It is plenty fast for me, and once I put K04's on it it'll be even faster.

I'll go to some test and tunes this spring if I'm able, then we can play around and see who can drive their car faster. I have a few lower budget things I want to get done here shortly to see if it makes a difference. Basically just the correct spark plugs for it being chipped and piggy pipes. I already had the front 2 O2 sensors relocated so now I can gut the pre-cats and see what that'd does for performance. Right now though my main focus is replacing all the worn out original parts on it. I need tires too, both my winter and summer tires are gone. I want to get a good set of all-season tires for it but am waiting until I finish getting the steering/suspension back to 100% so I don't eat the new tires up.

WRX's definitely hold an advantage in the tuner department. I'd love to get me a STI Wagon, those things are sick.

Race stands for regear axles correctly eraticly. It was me trying to help him earn money in order to modify his s4 more.

When I found my junkyard axle, the cover was off, I could see grit inside. I decided on fresh bearings and seals before I opened my toolbox.

Next stop, the Dutchinator... :D

Working on putting my 87 Dana 44 in my 94. Where do I get now u-bolts for it? Rolling around with a 4 1/2 " lift.
What matters is:
A) Bolt diameter.
B) Axle tube diameter.
C) Stack height.

I would not be suprised if your stock U-Bolts fit.

The generic ones will be so long that'll you'll be cutting several inches off after you get them all bolted down.

generic ones also stretch like linguini.

I don't use anything except 5/8" grade 8 RuffStuff or, if I'm in a hell of a hurry, the same bent up to my specs while I wait by a local truck/spring shop. $40-50, but worth every cent.
