I'll have you know that not only did I drive it there and back without so much as a hiccup....... it got 13.2 mpg doing it. HUGE improvement over the 7-8 mpg it'd been getting in the past.

Yup thats all you got though... was only cause you have some of T&T's parts.. :D

It was a good time though! Glad ya decided to come! Only because matt and david said they would wait around for ya.

If I knew there was a show-n-shine I would have washed the mud off the XJ and shined the tires up and got up b4 noon ...Dang ...lol

Well 1st went to a saweet CJ buggy. I'da had 1st place wrapped up if it weren't for Bob and his wife being the judges..... The only TnT part I have is the truss... the one that cracked and got him upset with me for posting about..... and the fact that Bob and his wife are partial to built CJ's....... :D (I kid, I kid..... :laugh3:)

I gotta say brutha..... that's one wicked suspension setup you've got going there.... That RTI ramp was nuthin' for your rig..... I was watching and hoping you were gonna park that tire up on top of the forklift!

Thought had crossed my mind ...But we already pushed our luck enough not slicing tires on the car ,which I think if I let my bro keep at it he'd still be there rolling over that s-10 . LOL

If you already have a return to center problem than you could very well have a caster issue. You should be running 5-6deg of caster. I know there is always a compromise with pinion angle but with disconnect hubs your front u-joint isn't always spinning anyways. I'll prematurely wear out a 20$ fully warrantied u-joint any day before I sacrifice steering with incorrect caster angles.

That is the what you should be running on a low pinion. A high pinion should be 6-8 degrees. I am running my HP30 with 7 and it is perfect!

You don't have to tell her about the hockey pucks. :firedevil

Seriously though, unless you married a gearhead, or a mechanic's daughter, it doesn't matter how well you explain what you want to do. All she'll hear is: Blah, blah, blah, more money, blah, blah, blah, my toy, blah, blah, blah, needs more money, blah, blah, blah. OK honey?

That is some funny shit..... and OH So True! :roflmao:

2deg ain't nearly enough man, you're going to want 4deg minimum. Personally I think 5-7deg is the sweet spot no matter low or high pinion. The pinion location doesn't change how caster affects your steering. As I said before, I'd rather wear out ujoints than deal with unsafe steering. Only problem with that on the D30 is the front driveshaft it always spinning so you could get some vibes even in 2wd.

I agree, I had 4.5* on the XJ in order to retain some kind of pinion angle on the LPD44 (5" lift), and I think it was the absolute minimum. Everyone who drove my XJ wasn't crazy about the steering at first, although once you were used to it, it was fine.

new steerig is getting made today to replace the old setup (bent all to H3LL) and theb bleading the brakes tomorrow and getting all my lights and turn signals installed. Then its ready to drive after i get some Go-Go juice!
