What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

I'm pretty sure your disgronifier needs replacing.

No, the wop-dobble shaft has a phase variance. We need to reconnect the neural miscromifier to the inducing regulator so we can trans-morphify the signal and eliminate the wobbles. Duh.

Oh, and I'm nearly through the 3rd season of FarScape. It's weird but it does hook you in. :D

Dutch is on the right track. Might also need a new caneuter valve and/or muffler bearings.

As far as my build goes...

-Got the exhaust done and mounted
-Got the Flow in side of the cooling system line nearly done
-Got a good start on the passenger side cooling system line
-Got my Taurus Fan half mounted
-Got the doubler completely in, and reworked the crossmember

Guess I should update my build thread :D

What did I say to get the "blinker fluid" type answers?
Sorry if I don't know what everything is properly called.
I'm just a newb to this death wobble BS!!!

I didn't get a chance to get a new video today.
I started this.

What are the pros and cons of hydro assist?
Thinking about upgrading the steering on the jeep.
Just want to know what is good and bad about hydro assist. And maybe suggestions on a good set up.

Don't know of much bad with it, besides that it'll make your steering so easy you'll have to be more careful with the amount of input ou provide while driving. I honestly wish I'd done the hydraulic assist on mine isntead of the fully hydro, it would be a lot more streetable if I had.

You'll want to upgrade your pump, and run a good sized cooler.

Please QUIT giving REALLY bad advice!! :twak:

You don't know as much as you think . I did however run your theory and my theory by an experienced tech...funny thing is your theory got a NO ,and my idea holds water...Basicly unless there is an issue soewhere else that tire balance can act on then it should not cause tire thumping DW...you have a lady friend that works at a well known shop when I asked this question she Heard the FIRM NO in response to it...lol.

Got you confused with someone else...lol...so disregard the last part of my previous post ...but not...lol ...part about you being less than correct...OUCH.

X2 -- the stomper has an assist ram, and I could turn the 42s (now can turn the 37s) with one finger. The only con I'm aware of, is that you may lose some of your "return to center" feel characteristics, as it is somewhat buffered by the ram, but most of us with any kind of significant lift have reduced our caster enough that you probably wouldn't notice the difference.

it almost seems like i already have the no return to center problem....
it seems like it wants to pull back and forth when i am trying to go straight...
toe in is 1/16 in the front.

now if i have an xj with a bronco d44, would i get hydro assist for the xj or the bronco? does it matter?

hydro assist is fairly simply, requires a little welding, tapping your box (:shhh:), and really isn't model specific. You just want to make sure you have a ram with enough throw for your axle, so calculate that and go to town. I don't think it will do anything much to cure your DW problem, however, so I'd keep digging and solve that one first. I'll be at the house this afternoon if you want to come by (digging a trench for new electric service)... I'd be happy to crawl under it and see if we can't find your clunk, since that is almost certainly the source of your wobble!
