What are these radios and can I use them?

I was given these radios by a contractor that left Iraq while I was deployed. I originally had the mics for them but they got lost in my many moves while I was over there.

Are these radios any good, and what can I do with them?

I could only find 1 part number: IC-F121S

Dunno much about radio stuff, but they appear to be fairly nice multi-frequency radios - 2way/ham...... that kind of thing. I imagine that's why it's got pre-sets rather than a more traditional tuning set up - so many frequency options that it's probably easier to get the commonly used ones pre-programmed. Probably popular for business/company use. They're "trunking" radios, so I don't know if you need to subscribe to a repeater source or if they'll broadcast on their own...... :dunno:

Thanks,
It looks like the radios won't be much use to me.

And...

If you decide you don't want to get your Amateur Radio license, let me know, I'd be happy to buy it from you!!!
