I agree, my tastes have definitely changed. IIRC, I also downed 3 or 4 of my piss beers to your one.lesslimited said:Interesting to see this from the guy who, when we first met, declined my offer of SNPA in favor of his Miller Lite....

Can I get a copy of the Hoegaarden clone recipe you've used? the Chimay red-label clone is in the secondary and I need something to start next weekend.lesslimited said:Interesting to see this from the guy who, when we first met, declined my offer of SNPA in favor of his Miller Lite.![]()
Can't go wrong with an IPA or a partial mash oatmeal stout. Just secondaried the oatmeal stout (NB kit) we brewed at Brewfest, and it's tasty already. I'll be doing the same for the Extra Pale tomorrow, may dry hop it a bit.
Another interesting Belgian type is the Hoegaarden clone. Done three batches now, all have met with the original MWC brewmeister's approval.

I don't have it (i only have Papazian's joy of homebrewing) but the local homebrew store has a copy for use, I think that's actually the same one we got the Chimay red clone from.lesslimited said:It's from "Beer Captured" pg 53.
Lots of excellent recipes in there, but if you don't have access to a copy, let know, and I'll see what I can do...
