WEAPONS BAN

Sent out an email to my reps and to Mr. O. Not that he gives a shit about me or my evil guns but hey, I sent it.

how exactly to weapon bans hurt law abiding citizens?

We don't need to try this to see how it works, England has already done so for us.

You're welcome

at least you guys aren't on the list like Putnam and Westchester county's in new york have to deal with being on a list of gun owners. like we were sex offenders or something...give information our names and address's and who owns a gun....i think that is absolutely ridiculous

i saw a story about that... way to out all the unarmed homes to the criminals.

did ya see the one where another guy with a blog got all the names, addresses and phone numbers, email accounts and twitter and face book accounts of all the employees of that newspaper and posted them up with a google map of where they live, whats good for the goose is also good for the gander

exactly^^ a lot of people are upset about that....and did they not take into consideration cops, and any other law enforcement, military, army, etc.

Every outspoken anti gun activist should be required to put a "GUN FREE ZONE" sign on his property to make us gun nuts believe he is not just a hypocrite. It should be a part of any new gun law out there. Make it known what you care about.
At least it will keep the gang bangers, rapists and home invaders off my property.

i have it worse...

i live in chicago, where an absolute ban on handguns did not work.

thanks to heller and mcdonald, we;re allowed handguns through an extremely expensive, complicated and limiting process.

the old resitration scheme was dumped, and folks like me who already had complied, had to re-register.

considering the hard costs, time, fuel and mileage, the CFP (chicago firearm permit) cost me 900 dollars.

meanwhile, gangbangers and other 5hitsticks are murdering, robbing, flash mobbing, carjacking, etc etc breaking hundreds if not thousands of laws and ordinances in the process.

you simply cannot legislate against evil.

this is what liberals can't understand.

liberals want all these news laws in the wake of connecticut. the funny thing is, most of what they are asking for, are already on the books.

i just got done reviewing a gunlaw guide written by j scott kappas, and i have the 2012 version...

on a scale from 0 being total prohibition and 100 being total freedom, connecticut ranks 26. only four states have more restrictions. this is a state where semi-auto gun ownership is heavily restricted. I'm not talking about SBR's (scary black rifles) I'm talking about the entire category "semi-auto". Importation of military-pattern semi-automatic weapons are expressly prohibited.

how come the laws ALREADY ON THE BOOKS didn't prevent evil from doing what evil likes to do?

while we are continuing to blame the at-15, we AREN'T talking about the problem of violence and sociopathic behavior in the country.

prove how a weapons ban would hurt me, a law abiding citizen

A degenerate kicks in your door, murders you, your family, and your dog.

You live in Chicago--you have no 2nd Amendment right.

Now, I KNOW you aren't a moron, so stop playing devil's advocate. :twak:

you realize they won't make you turn in your gun, just stop sales of certain kinds, for two years i spent the first few hours of work shooting a rifle and I have no issue with gun ownership i just don't understand the whole "they are going to take every gun ever made from us" mentality

ROTFLMFAO!

National SOCIALIST Germany, Great Britain, Australia, and the list of SOCIALIST MORONS grows ever greater.

Not here.

Most walmart's are sold out of semi-automatic rifles, and they're selling like hotcakes on eBay. Nope nothing wrong there.

Except eBay does not permit the selling of firearms, or any firearm parts that make them go bang.

Actually you're apparently wrong. Fienstein has a bill ready that will turn ar-15s into class three weapons which would require a yearly fee to keep that gun....up to two hundred dollars per rifle. I personally don't have a spare thousand dollars each year, so in order for me to continue being a law abiding citizen, I would have to sell my guns at a substantial loss since the market would flood from people in my situation.

So you would CHOOSE to sell your guns instead of paying the fee? Sounds more like they are making you realize the difference between want and need, if you needed 5 ar15s you would find the money

I won't do either. I will become an outlaw like pretty much every other gun owner I know.

I'm gonna try to go on welfare and see if I can get a free handout to pay my assault rifle fees.

first heller, then mcdonald...the next 2a case that needs to stand before SCOTUS is a ruling that makes all fee-based schemes unconstitutional.

we might have to face bad legislation in order to secure a judicial victory.
