Greetings,
I want to add an overhead console to my 2001 Jeep Cherokee 60th Aniversary Edition.
The console I can get one from is a 1998 Cherokee Limited.
All I have under my headliner are 3 wires (3 pin plug) going to the center overhead lamps (courtesy lamps?), 9 wires (skinny 12 pin plug) going to the remote keyless entry circuit board (stock), and a couple single(?) wires going to each sunvisor mirror vanity lamp. The 2 wires for the ambient temperature sensor routes from behind the bumper to probably the firewall (not sure if it stops there).
Can I get the overhead console (compass, trip computer, temperature) fully operating with my existing wires?
Describe the hassle (if any) if I don't get the harness (just the console) from the 1998 cherokee?
CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE AND THE REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY CIRCUIT BOARD SHARE THE SAME WIRES?
Could someone please share the wisdom?
This would be a nice accessory to my Jeep.
I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Gary
