Walker Valley run, Saturday, Feb. 23rd

What runs are you guys thinking about hitting?

and whats your definition of "stocker"? :sad1:

Alot of that will depend upon the number and types of rigs that show up. You can pretty much count on upper mainline, and the expressway going up, down, or both. If we get alot of rigs we might split up into two groups and run.

You've run Walker before so you have an idea whats up there. For this time of year I generally recomend 31-32's MT's and rocker protection. During the summer you could get through on 30's no problem.

I took a buddy up there a few months back in a Wrangler with a 2 inch lift and 30's he had a good time and was challenged.

All of 'em! You can spend a solid day at Walker and hit all the trails if everything goes well.

I would say 30" and bigger mud tires, rocker protection, and good bumpers will get you through most obstacles. Ground clearance and traction aiding devices (locker) would be highly recommended, but not mandatory. Expect body damage and have good tow points.

Edit: Ryan you beat me to it . Thanks.

Yes. If you are taking I-5, we're meeting at Joe's parking lot at 9 am. If you are taking hiway 9 or another route, will meet up at the trail head between 9:30 and 9:45. This is in the first post.

Hope to see you there!

Is there trailer parking?

Thanks,

Limited, and it's usually pretty packed with dirt bikers and quads. We've had issues in the past. How big of a trailer, and how un-roadworthy of a Jeep?

Just a regular car hauler. This one to be exact.

Road worthy depends upon which Jeep we bring. Neither will be driven there from Kent, but if there's a place to park the trailer within a few miles that's cool.

Thanks,
Willy

yeah if there is no room in the parking lot you can always go up around the corner and park accross from the hill climb that goes up into the rock pit, there is lots of other places to park too.

You could unload in the Joe's parking lot, and drive the 7 miles to the trail head. I don't think we would exceed 45 mph on the way there.

"Joe's parking lot"?

Would that be the main lot at Walker? I'm going to try and make this.

I think they are referring to where we are meeting in Mt. Vernon. I believe Joe's is a sporting goods store?
