Agreed. My local guy was out of the running... I had a really hard time choosing, but it had to be either StumpXJ or XJEEPER, I've seen some really good fab work from both (seen Stump's fender trimming writeup? amazing work), all three are obviously extremely capable rigs. I'm not ripping on mac at all, some real good pics from WF, I just personally like projects that keep the original styling intact as much as possible and do it cleanly without losing functionality.

XJEEPER's is really clean, Stumps is the most versatile and mac's look the meanest. I have seen him drive too so I know why it looks that way! Go Mac!

Mac, yours looks like what I would build (assuming I had the money, time and talent) as a pure trail rig. Simple, tough, cut down to the essentials while still keeping some of the shelter of the full bodied rig.

XJEEPER, yours is what I'd build for my dual purpose rig. Clean, well-sorted, but still highly wheelable.

Stump, one of these days, I plan on copying your rear fenders.

All tld, I voted XJEEPER. It's what I would own if I could since right now my Jeep must be able to be driven to and from the trails, and needs to be capable as a DD as well.
