Volunteer needed - Vendor Outreach (Raffle Prizes!)

We need people to talk to vendors to solicit raffle prizes for SoCal Fest. Think you got what it takes? Reply here that you're interested so you can build a team.


The job description is contacting vendors to get free junk. Any vendor that's not currently listed at http://sponsorship.naxja.org/ is fair game.

I can do it. But I don't have a good place to receive shipments. I live in an apartment and anything delivered when I'm away from home would sit unsecured outside my door. If someone else can take charge of receiving the swag, I can do the vendor outreach. Will that work?

shipments are easily left at Geoff's place in Redondo Beach or my place in Gardena has plenty of room and he is close enough that I can drop off anything that comes in. I'd consider both of our houses pretty secure he lives in a good neighborhood and I'm on a dead end street full of elderly people.

Let me know if I can help with storage.

Any larger items are welcome to be delivered to my place as well, I'm usually at the events and have a trailer, so bringing an extra bumper is no big deal.

I don't have a problem with that, Al. In fact it may work better to stage at Mike's since I'm traveling so often lately.

Mike - I can always come clear out in batches as needed.

I'll do my best on the SYE. I've got a few things in mind that I'd like to win too. But, of course, we'll graciously accept whatever the vendors are inclined to donate.

On a related note, I'm going to be making calls to vendors tomorrow, when I'm not at work. I've started a list of vendors to contact, but I would welcome any suggestions for companies to add to that list. If you have any ideas in that regard, PLEASE SEND ME A PM. I don't think it would be especially helpful to post those suggestions here. Better, think, that they hear from me before reading on line that we're going to hit them up.
