Android was the latest and greatest new thing everyone had to have a couple of years ago. Now I keep hearing so many of my friends and family who are switching back to iPhones because they can't deal with Androids inability to control anything. An open OS sounds so good until you start losing the ability to keep your info safe.
The android market is a mess using the best terms.
Say what you want about Apple and the way they run their company. I would agree full heartedly but as much as I hate the company...they build good products. Anyone who says differently either is so biased they can't see through that or they have never truly used one.
Neither one of these points are true. Apple cannot access your device remotely if it is jailbroken or otherwise. Only you can have access to do such a thing. They do have control of their PROTOTYPE devices so that if it is lost or stolen then they can wipe it and turn it into a brick so that nobody can use the device or copy any secure data on the device. Apple's iCloud service is that rolls out this fall is 100% free. They are charging a $25 yearly fee to upload any music not bought through iTunes so that you can stream the music from anywhere on any iOS device with internet access. But if you sync your device with your Mac or PC often then you will always have all of your music should you choose to put it on the device. Also Apple is adding wireless sync with iOS 5 so that as long as your device has access to the same wi-fi as your computer then it will sync with no need for wires.
Don't knock it until you try it. Or atleast know any real information about it...
BTW, there's another new Verizon phone coming out soon. Nexus Prime w/latest Android OS: 4.0 (layered cake?). Do a search for it. Sounds very promising.
Whatever you do DON'T get a Samsung Charge! I've had mine for four months and already had to have it replaced. The used one they sent me still has pretty much the same problems and i'm stuck with it.
weird, im going on about 4 months with my charge, smashed my screen. Dropped it a ton. Still have not had a problem with it and still on the first one.
