Vandalized gas tank

I have had a locking gas cap for years, even before the engine rebuild, best investment you can make, especially taking a look at how much money ive poured under the hood and elsewhere...

Got threatened by some low life out in NC when i lived there, got the locking cap on the way home that night, havent had a bit of trouble since. (that is if you dont count the time i was driving on E for a day or three, had my spare keys, and no gas cap key...:D, had to go all the way back to the house to get the key, died as i was rolling to the pump:D:D still dont know where the second cap key went...).

Great investment. I also have full coverage on mine, thank god. Vandals did about $1000 damage last October from the stereo to the windshield. Tried to slash the tire, but couldnt get through the Kuhmo A/T sidewall for some reason, just an annoying poke hole that leaked out in three days, broke my seat also...

Good luck to ya, a good flush and cleaning oughta do it.

I got motivated today and purchased a locking gas cap locally,
based on the bad experiences posted here, and my own experience with lowlife scumbags who feel that the can change my mind by trying to intimidate me. I remain unafraid and more determined than ever.
I tell everyone I know about the Republicans that felt it necessary to become petty criminals.

These psychopathic knuckle draggers have shown just how violent and dangerous they can be. They should read up on the law and understand that the use of *deadly* force to protect your home and property is a right here in Colorado, and that I will _kill_ if I need to defend myself and my family.
A Denver couple recently killed a man who was trying to steal their car. The victims were cleared of any wrongdoing. Self defense. Case closed.

I also now park my Jeep under my bedroom window in the light of a sodium lamp.
I have a good camera and enough weapons to make anyone think twice about f&cking with me. I am not a pacifist, and the best way to prevent someone from testifying against you is to kill them.

Local police are also friends of mine. :D

Thanks for reminding me that people don't always have good judgement,
and that I can do something simple to prevent one avenue of vadalism.
It's cheap insurance at $11.

This my friend, is exactly what keeps me from voting for any Democrat. Its not so much the conservatives who keep trying to disarm the population.

And it's not the Democrats who are trying to take away your constitutionally protected right to bear arms as part of a well regulated militia.
You have been sold a bill of goods.
I am a strong supporter of the second amendment, as well as all the other amendments. It is the Republicans that want to take away all the other amendments, including the 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, and 11th, forcing you to use the second amendment to protect yourself from an out of control government, NOT the Democrats.
The gun owners that I know are all from California, Massachusetts, Oregon, Connecticut, Maine and Washington where there is a strong sentiment to protect the rights of gun owners. My uncle and cousins are all Democrats and they have dozens of weapons. One of my cousins is a police officer and another cousin is married to a police officer, all Democrats.
California is by far the largest contigent of gun manufacturers that I know of.
Sorry that you have been so badly mislead, but I'm happy to correct the misperceptions. It's not Democrats that want to take away your right to defend yourself, it's the Republicans.
It's also Republicans that destroyed my property.

It's Reindeer. Fourth generation American. Yourself?
It's common to leave off a personal pronoun in conversational writing style.
What do you find "strainge" about it? :D

It is the space aliens that want to take away all the other amendments, including the 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, and 11th, forcing you to use the second amendment to protect yourself from us idiots. It's NOT our fault.

The idiots that I know are all from California, Massachusetts, Oregon, Connecticut, Maine and Washington where there is a strong sentiment to protect the rights of the brainless. My uncle and cousins are all Idiots and they have dozens of weapons. One of my cousins is a big tough guy and another cousin is married to a big tough guy, all Idiots.

First, let me apologize for continuing to drag the post way off topic, I sincerely thought this was in the off topic forum (this, based on the conversation here). I will afterwards refrain from continuing this, unless its not in the tech forums, hoping that you understand and agree.

Ok now, before you jump to any more conclusions, what makes you so sure I'm real satisfied with either political party??? I do agree with your position on the Republican-led expansion of government police powers... However, I'm not happy with the Democrats. Look who their party's leaders have become, they were a moderate party, they swung too far left and now their influence has eroded. Look at California w/ a traditionally very blue state government, but look how we have voted in popular elections. The people wanted the Governator, a moderate Republican. Look how nearly every proposition (law voted on by popular election) here turns out- example- California voted ovewhelmingly to prohibit gay marriage. The people are tiring of liberals in government.

Anyway, with me its not just because gun control laws are usually iniciated by the Dems. Other issues, their support for taking my money and throwing it at social welfare, BS laws that don't allow you to do what you want with your property (like the ADA act, who you can hire, etc) their lack of support for tort reform, disdain for the business community and guess which side generally supports land use closures...

I am more Libertarian than anything else (though I'm registered Republican for certain reasons). I think the best (realistic) goverment that we can have is a GOP dominated congress and a Democrat in the Oval Office. That way, the pres. prevents Republican war mongering yet the House keeps a lid on Democratic social welfare bs. In certain ways, the Clinton years were de-facto libertarianism- nothing really happened which is how it should be.

Lastly, "Republicans broke my stuff" its very pointless as any political party is mostly comprised of law abiding citizens.

or instead of a locking gas cap...mebbe time to do something new and do a fuel cell? put the cap where someone cant find it? i dont know, just an idea.

I had this T-bird one time with a rusted out gas tank, I could only put about 10gal in it. So I had to stop for gas every other day.

About once a week though I would find the tank on empty in the morning when I was sure it was at 1/2 the night before.

When I finely got a new tank I temporally hooked it up in the trunk and filled the stock one with water.

When I got home from work that evening the tow truck was in my neighbors drive, some one put water in his gas tank, Hmmm.

that really sucks...did anyone mention talking to the police i know when my jeep was keyed i took it to the police and they ended up finding the kid who did it...i was awarded over $500 and the kid ended up getting a felony...(i wasnt the only car he got)

Your apology is accepted.

I have not jumped to any conclusions. This is a falsehood.

bajacalal said:

Straw man argument. False premise. I never assumed anything where you are concerned. I know nothing of you except for what you post.
How could I actually know you? Come on.
Why are you so deliberate in your desire to paint me as someone who would stereotype you? You falsely characterize me. You know nothing of me, so don't pretend that you understand what makes me tick. You don't.

bajacalal said:

In what way? Please elaborate.

bajacalal said:

Howard Dean is the perfect man to lead the party. He was elected unanimously. No one opposed him in the end. Every single vote was for Howard Dean. Where is the dissent? No where.
What other leader would you have? There is none other that is so qualified.
Howard Dean is a moderate. Look it up.

bajacalal said:

I don't have to look at it, I LIVED there for more than ten years.

bajacalal said:
The people wanted the Governator, a moderate Republican.

And public opinion polls oppose him consistently. Californians are very very sorry that the elected this bumper sticker of a politician. This is known fact.
Why do you lie about this? Shame on you for misrepresenting Arnold's record. Swartzenegger is a miserable failure, and that is well documented.
He can't even articulate his vision, as he HAS NONE.
Trust me on this. Swartzenegger will not be re-elected. His time is already done.

bajacalal said:

Please. This is a major lie. Why do you perpetuate this lie?
"May 11, 2005
Two California legislative committees voted on Tuesday to reject a state constitution amendment banning gay marriage.

Republican Assemblyman Ray Haynes claimed that a proposal before the Assembly Judiciary Committee would strengthen the intent of a ballot measure that prevents the recognition of gay marriages performed out of State. The amendment was rejected.

The Senate Judiciary Committee rejected an identical measure just hours later.

However, Conservative groups say that they plan to put an initiative on the ballot in 2006 banning gay marriage in the constitution."

The court has spoken. Too bad your hatred and bigotry didn't work in the most progressive state in the union, after Massachusetts. Too bad for the gay bashers, as their hatred is clearly unContitutional.

Why are you lying? Why are you deliberately misrepresenting this issue?
Hmmmm.

bajacalal said:

You wish. Quite the opposite. Republicans in California are failing miseraby, and liberals have a proven track record of success. Get real.
Why are you so ignorant of California politics?
I don't live there now, but I'm more on top of California politics than you are.
Why is that? Jeez. Read a newspaper PLEASE. California is VERY liberal, and they will not allow neo-conservatives to crush their voices.

bajacalal said:

Prove this false statement. I dare you.

bajacalal said:
Other issues, their support for taking my money

Prove this false statement. Again, you have no facts to back up your bullshite.

bajacalal said:
and throwing it at social welfare,

It was president Clinton that signed the legislation to reform welfare.
How is it that you don't know this well known fact? Are you that poorly informed? Do you even read a newspaper?

bajacalal said:
BS laws that don't allow you to do what you want with your property (like the ADA act, who you can hire, etc)

So, let me get this straight, you HATE disabled veterans? That somehow doesn't seem to surprise me, although I find it disgusting and deplorable.
Jeesus. You need to get a grip on your hatred of the disabled. Wow.
I'm amazed at your callousness and anger at people who have sacrificed EVERYTHING for your freedom. You are an ungrateful wretch, and you owe every veteran a long and sincere apology for you misplaced anger.

bajacalal said:
....their lack of support for tort reform,

The term "Tort Reform" is code for violating the Constitution of these United States. The First Amendment states that Americans have the RIGHT "...to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Get real. You are against the Constituition on this issue, and you are on the wrong side of history. Shame on you for not knowing and understanding what this country was founded for, and against. Read a book.

bajacalal said:
disdain for the business community

Oh, but the recent passage of CAFTA has shown you to be a liar.
CAFTA is an anti-US business bill. You support it, therefore you are against US businesses and their prosperity.

bajacalal said:
...and guess which side generally supports land use closures...

The land "closure" issue is clearly one that is being conducted by the Republicans, who believe in privatizing public lands, closing them forever.
You have chosen the wrong side, and Libertarian is just a veiled code word for Republican Lite. You make me sick with your lies. You disgust me.

bajacalal said:

No, what actually happens is what HAS already happened.
Clinton wanted to kill Osama bin Laden, and the Republcan Congress prevented him from doing just that.
Clinton violated the war powers act, and launched missles into Afghanistan to kill bin Laden. The Republicans in Congress shouted "No war for Monica!" and refused to give authorization for Clinton to kill the terrorist Osama bin Laden. This is well documented fact. Look it up.
This is what you want to happen. You want history to repeat itself, and for the United States to be at the mercy of bin Laden and Zarqawi and others.
Republicans have weakened our national security, and voted against the troops on every single occasion. Wake UP!!

bajacalal said:

You need a serious eduction is political history. It's pathetic how much you do not know.
Read the Welfare Reform Act of 1996, and learn how stupid you really are.

bajacalal said:

No, Clinton was a very right leaning moderate, NOT a liberal, as so many would falsely suggest. Clinton signed all kinds of legislation that I oppose.
He signed the Telecom Act of 1996, among others.
Why is it that you don't know this?

bajacalal said:
Lastly, "Republicans broke my stuff"

Don't pretend that I EVER said this, because I didn't. This is a straw man argument. I never said this. Don't misquote me again.

bajacalal said:

How naive you are.
Having lived throught the Nixon administration, I know that every politician should be watched carefully to ensure that no laws are broken.
The only untainted politician that I am aware of was Senator Paul Wellstone, who never took a single penny of PAC money.
Look it up. I think that the search will be sobering.
You will learn that EVERY politician takes corporate money, and has all kinds of influence that is not in the interests of the average American citizen.

Why do you think that they voted to pass CAFTA, which will certainly ship more American jobs overseas? It's all about the money.

All I did was tell the truth about who vandalized my Jeep.
You were as guilty as anyone, talking politics. You are the kettle calling the pot black.
I know that it was extremist Republicans who destroyed my Jeep, and that is a stone cold fact.
The rest of the thread was deleted. So be it.
