Valve tap fix?

Just curious. I have a bit of a valve tap/ knock since purchase. Is there anyhting I can do to quiet it down?

I know some oil filters are Non-re circulating, is that the case for XJ's?

Slowly pour 1/2 a can of seafoam into the throttle body while it's running. Put the other 1/2 in the gas tank.

If you really want to get rid of the valve tap/ knock noise then sell the jeep Lots of noise lovers hanging around here that will buy it . Jeeps are notorious for noisy valve/tappets.

All joking aside, I would replace one quart of engine oil with a 1/2 quart of Marvel Mystery oil and 1/2 quart of Lucas oil additive (non-synthetic). Cut the noise level in mine by about 80%.:roll:
