!!!!!! URGENT NEED T CASE NP231!!!!!!

As some of you may know the Indiana four wheel drive association convention is coming up at the end of FEB. Well last week end i was testing my new winch and some cooling system mods and broke the rear output shaft of my t case (np231) I had another lined up locally for $50 but when we got out to the farm it was already gone. If the is anyone out there who can help please let me know ASAP

Saw a 3-4 Cherokees at the Indy Pic a part yesterday, all were 96 and prior.

I've got the output shaft out of my '96 from when I installed a SYE. You are welcome to it for the cost of shipping, if it is the one you need. I know nothing about it, other than my transfer case is a NP231. If you need the whole NP231, then I cannot help you.

this is a 21 spline input shaft...thus it would come from an '87-90 xj with 4.0/auto, or 4 cyl/5 speed...or an 87-89 4.0/5 speed. not sure what input would be used with 4 cyl/auto.


I have two or 3 of them laying around, but shipping would be a bit much.


the output shaft offered to you *might* work...but that was a sealed output trans that it came off of, so the bearing surfaces at the rear support area may not work.


I have a good output shaft from an '88 4.0/auto np231J. you can have it, for cost of shipping...a tcase rebuild is very easy, and if you're doing it it gives you some insight into how it works and why it works the way it does.
